In 2023, my shoe collection has evolved, and I’m excited to share a detailed look at my favorite sneakers. From Adidas Gazelle Indoor to Common Projects Achilles Low, each pair has a unique story and style. Join me as I delve into the vibrant colorways, sleek silhouettes, and versatile designs that define my shoe collection.
In my latest video, I showcased my entire shoe collection, which has changed a lot since my last update.
I currently own about 24 or 25 pairs of shoes, some of which were gifts, some I’ve had for years, and some I couldn’t resist purchasing.
I tend to go for sneakers with a slim silhouette, low profile, and versatile style that can be paired with almost anything.
One of my most worn sneakers in 2023 is the Adidas Gazelle Indoor in a vibrant colorway, which adds a pop to my wardrobe.
I was fortunate to get my hands on a colorway that sold out almost immediately upon release, making it even more special to me.
I also picked up the same style in a blue colorway, although I haven’t worn them out yet, but I admire the color and the slightly more translucent sole compared to the green pair.
Another significant addition to my collection is the Common Projects Achilles Low in a light gray colorway, which I find more versatile compared to the white pairs I’ve owned in the past.
This sneaker has become my go-to option for dressing up any outfit due to its timeless and versatile design.
The Onitsuka Tiger GSM, known as the Onitsuka Tiger, is a sneaker that the writer initially loved for its beautiful design.
Although the writer hasn’t worn them as much as anticipated, the quality and price point of the shoe are commendable.
The shoe reminds the writer of the Nike Air Force One, a style they are not currently going for, but they have no negative comments about the Onitsuka Tiger GSM.
Overall, the writer recommends the Onitsuka Tiger GSM for anyone who appreciates this style of shoe.
The first pair of sneakers in my collection that I want to talk about is the off-white pair with regular stripes around the sole. They are similar to the off-white pair, with the only difference being the stripes around the sole, which adds a nice touch to the design.
Next, I have a pair of Common Projects b-ble low, which I’ve had for about six years. Despite their age, they still look great, although the soles have turned yellow from wear. These have a slightly higher profile than the Achilles low and give a more sporty look.
The Adidas Amber is a popular shoe at the moment, but I personally find them uncomfortable and tend to choose my gazelles over them. However, they are undeniably a great looking shoe and easy to style, making them a common choice for many people.
Another similar pair is the Adidas handball specials, which I find more comfortable than the sambas. Although they look a bit smarter, I still prefer my gazelles over them. However, they were a favorite before I discovered the gazelles.
Moving on to the Mexico 66 from Onitsuka Tiger in the black and white colorway. This shoe receives mixed opinions due to its colorway, but I find them surprisingly comfortable and they complement an all black outfit perfectly.
I also own a pair of Acne Studio slip-on sneakers, which I consider as my ‘sloppy’ shoes for lazy days when I can’t be bothered with tying laces.
I used to have a pair of band slip-ons in my collection when I was younger, but now I prefer something more sleek and grown-up.
I recently acquired a pair of slip-on sneakers at a discounted price, although I wouldn’t pay full price for them. They are convenient for quick errands or casual outings.
The Reebok Club c85 TV version has been a long-standing shoe in my collection. While I go through phases of wearing it, I find it a bit chunky looking at times, especially with certain trousers. However, it’s a classic shoe that I always seem to have in my collection.
Next, I have the Vans skate high, which can give off a youthful look if not styled correctly. I personally still have a soft spot for these, but I tend to opt for Chuck Taylors or boots when going for a high-top look nowadays.
Moving on to running shoes, I own the Nike streak fly, which I find incredibly comfortable for my casual runs. They allow me to run without any discomfort and enable me to achieve my desired speed. I also share my running experience and ask others about their fastest 5K time in the comments section.
Lastly, in terms of boots, I have a pair from Veron, which I picked up in 2021. Although I didn’t wear them much initially, I ended up wearing them frequently last winter. Surprisingly, I still wear them in the summer whenever the weather permits.
Today, I want to talk about my shoe collection. It’s a mix of casual and formal shoes that I’ve gathered over the years.
First, let’s talk about my favorite Apple leather boots. They are durable and have a unique design with text on the side and a chunky sole. They have held up really well for me and I always get compliments on them.
Next, I have a pair of GH Bass loafers. I initially bought the black pair and later collaborated with the brand to receive the black and white pair and the brown pair. They are great for a casual yet stylish look.
Then, I have a smarter pair of loafers from Moorhouse which I wear to dressier events. The quality of these shoes is remarkable, and they add a touch of elegance to any outfit.
Moving on, I own a pair of classic Clarks Wallabees. While it’s not entirely my style, I still appreciate the timeless appeal of these shoes and wear them occasionally.
For formal occasions, my go-to shoes are a pair of Oxfords from Logue. They are the epitome of classic, smart footwear and always elevate my overall look when I’m wearing a suit.
In summary, my shoe collection incorporates a mix of casual, stylish, and formal footwear that caters to different occasions and styles.
My expanding sneaker collection in 2023 reflects my love for versatile, stylish footwear. From vibrant Adidas Gazelle Indoor to timeless Common Projects Achilles Low, each pair has a special place. The journey of curating my shoe collection continues, and I can’t wait to see what new additions will define my style in the future.
